1. Identify all 6 things on the page: 2. Teacher P3, P4, K, 1 Children: Draw a line from the pumpkin to the pumpkin pie! 3. Teacher P3, P4, K, 1 Children: Draw a line from the live turkey to the turkey dinner! 4. Teacher P3, P4, K, 1 Children: Draw a line from the corn plant to the corn on the cob! 5. COLOR THE THANKSGIVING DINNER! 6. 7. Wordplay for grade 2 and 3 children: Write this so the class can see it: "God made the living, growing turkey, but mother made the turkey dinner." Ask, who really made the turkey? See the word "made" twice?(Circle the words) Let's replace one of the times "made" is used with the word "created". Let's replace the other time the word "made" is used with the word "prepared"(explain if necessary, it means stuffed, and cooked). What should this say now? Erase the words "Made" and insert the new words. Confirm, "Now that's better! We can see how what God makes is different from what we make." |
