You can tell a lot about a student when they make their own self-portrait.

Usually it will reflect aspects about themselves.

Is it smiling or sad or has no feeling?

Is it all black, gray or dark brown or is it colorful?

Are the features proportional or are they drawn in very small?

Put them up on the wall or bulletin board if you can.

Encourage the kids to print their names LARGE so you and others can read it easily.

OPTION:Take a photo of each child and print it about 3 inches wide. Attach it to the bottom of the self-portrait.
