We've given knicknames to the Apostles Bart, Andy, Ted, and Tom so they would be easier to remember and are the names you might call them if they were your friends. Simon was was not a knickname.
But what were their full names? Here they are!

In Bible times, people could have more than one name! Not a last name, but a completely different first name that some people knew them by. It might have been really confusing!

BATTS		 Bart is Bartholomew, and some say he was also called Nathanael

Tom is Thomas. Today, he is also known as Doubting Thomas! Do you know why?

Simon is Simon the Zealot,one of the few you might say had a "last name".
