Double Christmas Star Ornament

(Single star) First level below

Make a Christmas star for the tree that's a "Wow!" This is not your ordinary kid's Christmas ornament. It's no ordinary star! It doesn't take any special cutting skill. It does reflect the special nature of the Christmas star - a special star among all others.

Depending on the kind of paper you use, you will get many different results.

NO COLORING REQUIRED. It's all about the paper you use! The combinations are endless!

Use
PLAIN WHITE PAPER and gold glitter and you will have a Chrismon star! (Fastest and easiest)
OR
One-sided patterned paper (sky stationary used in the example) to get a MULTI-COLORED star
OR
Different Solid colored papers for unusual effects.

The second layer small star points are on a different download so you can print them on another color or pattern paper.

String, yarn or ribbon cut in 6 inch pieces

THIS STARTS OUT EXACTLY THE SAME AS OUR OUTSTANDING STAR, BUT ADDS ANOTHER LEVEL

- Cut out all pieces all the large star points, the star base and the small star points.

On the large base star point pages notice it recommends that you trim off all the evidence of line 3 before you glue. That's so when it is rolled and glued, you don't see the line. No need to do this on the small star points.

- Put your name on back of star base.

(4) Bring it over to the straight dotted lin.

Make all your star points repeating steps 1 to 7. It's best to use white glue for the yarn or ribbon.

It may be better to glue the yarn, string or ribbon to the star base FIRST- before making star points, so it has a chance to dry.

Glue star points on with the seam-side up towards you (NOT DOWN ON THE PAPER. (The seam is where the 2 ends of the paper are glued together)

On the first large star point page notice it recommends that you trim all the print off line 3 before you glue. Line 3 is marked on the paper. That's so when it is rolled and glued, you don't see the line.

Match the star base tip to the star point tip. Glue pretty much over the entire GLUE SPACE lightly.

Allow to set-up, if not dry before going on to the second layer.

Leave it lay!

Make all the small star point cones now repeating steps 1 to 6.

Use a different color or pattern paper.

Then prepare each small star point to glue onto the star base this way:

Just lay the small star point -GLUE SIDE DOWN- starting at the center, between 2 star points in layer one. Continue to do the same all around the star. Your ornament is complete, but give it a chance to dry before picking it up by the yarn or ribbon.

This Christmas Star is is a Microsoft Word document to alleviate printing issues. Click to OPEN or SAVE, whichever you want to do. If you SAVE the document, you will be asked where you want to put the file and what you want to name it. This allows you to print it later if you prefer.
