What are the keywords of Christmas?

Peace, Love, Joy and Hope.

Depending on the ages of the children you are working with, You can make either
EASIER: 2 double-sided flat stars,
or OLDER : one 4 sided star
with these same sets.

The star represents the Star of Bethlehem.

Version for older kids:

The last version of the pattern appears similar to the first one, but this last one connects all the letters to each other and the outline. Following this instruction, the star would appear as in the animated star above. You can use any colors.

New Testament Christmas story:Matthew 1:18-25; Matthew 2:1-12; Luke 1:26-38; Luke 2:1-20.

EASIER Grades K-5
OLDER: Grades 2-6

Sunday School Christmas Craft and Activity,

	Copies of the activity Pages for each student
	Fine line Markers
	Scissors
	Glue (white glue would be better than glue sticks)
	12 inches of yarn or string for each finished star
	Small jar or can or container to use to tie yarn
	One-hole Paper punch that you can see where you are punching.

Print the sets you want.

EASIER DOUBLE-SIDED STARS

1 Finish coloring the stars.

2. Cut out the 4 stars.
3. Punch the hole in each star.

4. Choose 2 of the stars and put glue on the back of one- be sure to get glue on the star tips. Put the 2 stars you have chosen back-to-back matching the hole and the star points. (White glue may slide easier. Glue sticks are less messy with glue at the points- but you have to work faster.)

5. Put the yarn through the star hole and around a small jar or can or smooth container. Tie the yarn around it in a knot and slip it off. This prevents you from making the loop too tight. Trim.

OLDER GRADES FOUR-SIDED STARS


1 Finish coloring the stars as you wish. 2. Cut out the 4 stars. 3. Punch the hole in each star.	4. With the punched hole at the top, fold the stars in half with the colored side together. Match the star points for a perfect half.	5. Fold all your stars. (In the following instructions, "half" means one side of the fold.

6. Choose 2 of the stars and put glue on 1/2 of the back of one star - be sure to get glue on the star tips.	7. Glue HALF of two different stars together. Match the hole and then work your way around the points of the half star. *This is a half set.*	8. Take the other 2 stars and glue them together as in instructions 6 and 7.

9. Glue the two half sets together. Watch the hole in the top!	10. Put your yarn through a hole. Bring the yarn around a bottle or can and tie the yarn in a knot. (Prevents getting too small or tight. ). Remove the bottle or can.	11. Cut off excess yarn and you're done.
